Modern dental technology has made tremendous advancements in recent decades. These innovations enable Dr. Cory Gaunt and our skilled team at Downriver Smiles to serve patients faster, with greater skill, accuracy and more comfort. We are pleased to share advanced technology with our dental family in Spokane and the surrounding communities.
Every technological advancement requires our team to undergo extensive training to ensure it is used properly. Dr. Gaunt and our team all have the latest training in the use of dental technology and advanced procedures, so we can offer the absolute best dental care to our patients. Our investment into dental technology at Downriver Smiles means more value and quality care, and less time in the dental chair.
3D Cone Beam
Our 3D cone beam scanner enables Dr. Gaunt and the team to obtain precise digital images for numerous dental treatments. This is much more accurate and avoids radiation from standard x-rays. The digital images are highly accurate and obtained immediately, so no time is lost developing x-ray film before the dentist or dental lab can use the images to plan for your oral care.
3D cone beam images are used to create images for the dental lab when they create custom mouthguards, crowns, inlays, onlays, orthodontic aligners and other dental appliances. They are also used by Dr. Gaunt for the precise placement of different types of dental implants. 3D images are much more accurate and detailed, allowing Dr. Gaunt and our team to deliver superior oral care for our patients in Spokane.
Intraoral Camera
At Downriver Smiles, we also use advanced digital intraoral cameras to aid in our dental treatments. This camera obtains precise images that are projected onto a large screen for easy viewing. The images are much larger than life, allowing Dr. Gaunt and the team to easily see any problems or issues with your teeth and gums.
We can even show you the live images of what we see in your mouth, so you have a better understanding of any issues and our recommended treatment. The intraoral camera allows superior views from multiple angles within your mouth, allowing you to see things that previously only the dentist could see.
Downriver Smiles is pleased to use these and other modern innovations to better serve our patients. Contact us today for more information about our dental technology or to schedule an exam and cleaning.
